Labstem staff had the chance to teach primary school refugees at the Thermopiles hot spot. On behalf of LabSTEM, Mr.Ioannis Dimos demonstrated the construction of a simple robot using the Lego Wedo 2.0 educational material. Subsequently, young refugees had the chance to program the robots by using tablets. It was really a very enjoyable procedure and the young pupils were entertained very much.
The refugee teachers who the SolidarityNow NGO monitors, also participated in the lesson. Thus, they show how an algorithm is being applied to primary school students and they show how they can use algorithms in their teaching procedure.
